See Proverbs 3:5-8
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.”
Application:
Our own understanding is limited and subject to error, that is why we must trust in God’s word and be led by the Holy Spirit. We should acknowledge God and always look to him for direction by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, when we do this God promises to direct our path, He will remove all obstacles and enable us to make the right choices.
